What’s new……………...

My website presence is growing and expanding. To introduce you to more about my cattle and cowdog operation, I have put together a second website at Tammy's Cowdogs (http://www.tammyscowdogs.com). The second website is a personal look into Goldammer Ranch, the cow/calf operation and the Hangin’ Tree cowdogs that live and work here.

Throughout 2008, I put together a more detailed story about my operation and am now looking forward to sharing with you the story of Goldammer Ranch. The central Missouri area is where my parents grew up and where they returned to after starting their own family in the beautiful Sandhills of Nebraska. The ranch is situated on land that is rocky, hilly, timber and cleared land. Our soil types are clay, clay-loams, and in some instances glacial rock debris. The grasses are mainly cool-season grasses with fescue being the predominant grass. Over the past several years, I have introduced some native warm season grasses to get a little added value in late summer grazing from Big and Little Bluestem, Side Oats Grama, Indiangrass and some Buffalo Grass.

Being raised in ranching country with cattle and horses in the Sandhills was truly a wonderful part of my life. Now, I am able to carry on my parents’ ranching operation here in Missouri.
